An overview of the Standard and Testing Agency updates and materials for Year 2 teachers and a chance to moderate reading.

Description

Find out about the statutory requirements for the end of key stage 1 assessment in reading including new arrangements for children working below the national curriculum assessment standard. Discuss your approaches to the teaching and learning of reading with colleagues from across the city.

Please ensure teachers bring their copy of these four STA publications: KS1 TA framework 2018-19 onward; KS1 Assessment and Reporting Arrangements; KS1 pre-key stage assessment framework and current exemplification together with examples of planning and children's responses to the teaching and learning of reading.

Outcomes

Teachers understand assessment requirements for 2018-19 and have started to relate these to their current class.
