This is an exciting opportunity to engage in this programme, which is specifically for experienced chairs, new chair of governors/or committees and aspiring chairs of governors/or committees. The programme provides a unique opportunity for you to work alongside colleagues in the city to improve your leadership of effective governance in the school
We fully recognise that Governors have busy lives and other commitments. Our flexible leadership training programme will take place in a small group (Max 10) to allow for the sessions to be both interactive and reflective in a supportive environment. The programme offers three face to face workshops, followed by a shorter final impact session. The sessions provide the opportunity to plan for and undertake a practical school based activity of your choice to meet the needs of your governing body, options to dig deeper into current governance and leadership issues and personally reflect on your own leadership impact. You will also be offered one personal focus session with an experienced facilitator to help you with your development needs. The course will help you to build transferable leadership skills.
